Specific Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:
Explain the principles of utilisation management and case management and discuss the inter-relationship between the two.
Assess a patient, identifying any barriers to care, and then formulate a care plan that balances the care and cost considerations of the patient’s treatment.
Discuss ethico-legal considerations as they pertain to the practice of case management.
